Introduction

There are times you want a different behavior on a link.

Maybe you want the link to open in a new window.

Maybe you don't want the link to be translated.

This is what hash utils are for.

Out of the box

The following hash utils are supported out of the box:

  1. #_blank - Open in new tab / window.
  2. #_dnt - Do not translate. This will instruct Author Kit to not translate a link.
  3. #_dnb - Do not block. This will instruct Author Kit to not convert a link into a block. Useful when you have a YouTube link or a PDF link that you don't want embedded into your page.

Extending

Below are a few examples you may want to consider implementing for your own project:

  1. #_loop - Ask for a video to loop indefinitely.
  2. #_nofollow - Add a nofollow attribute to a link.
